I am pretty new to this but have successfully backed up at least 5 DVDs to DVDR so far. I am having trouble with the SECOND disk of Punch Drunk Love. First I rip the DVD to my hard drive using either Smartripper or DVDDecrypter. Next I use IFOEDIT. I open each .IFO file, click on STRIP STREAMS and put all of the resulting files in another directory.
Then I use ShrinkDVD. In this specific case I use no compression since the size of this disk is fairy small. These files go into yet another directory. Finally, I use CopytoDVD to burn the DVDR(W). When I do this last step there is a drop-down window that shows the status as the program is working. This gives me some kind of message about a BUP/VOB containing errors and the resulting disk may not work. When I put the 'resulting disk' into my Panasonic RV32 DVD player I get a message that the disk is not compatible to play. What am I doing wrong?
Also, I have read some confusing messages about using GET VTS SECTORS in IFOEDIT. What file should I have open when using GET VTS SECTORS, ie. - IFO? VOB? VTS? from the input directory or the output directory? Thanks for any help.
