  1. Hi, this is my first project using GUI slideshow software. My knowledge on these programs is VERY limited. I created a slide show with aprox 200 pictures & 3 music tracks. I go to the toolbar & click on author & burn to disc. A program called HCENC 0.23 opens up. Its makes pass 1 with no problem, but on pass 2 it ALWAYS freezes up sometimes at 47% somtimes at 90% never the same spot. In the info window it reads invalid motion vector. I have no clue what this is. I downloaded the complete program again with the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

It sounds like your problem is in creating the DVD (the VIDEO_TS folder)...not the burning part. I haven't used DVDSlideshowGUI for a while. Have you assigned transitions yourself for all 200 photos?

  3. I used the same transition for all; dissolve_dark. the duration times do vary because it seemed that was the only way to time the music with the slides. All photos started as jpeg's.

HCenc can freeze up due to either your CPU overheating or your failure to turn on an option in one of the settings tabs relating to AviSynth. I have forgotten what it says specifically because I have to use beta version 0.26 on my Win 7 64 box. The beta of 0.26 does this for you automatically and doesn't require you to check that AviSynth box, whatever it is. If you want to continue to use version 0.25, you'll have to look in the settings tabs and find that AviSynth restart option (something like that I think) and turn it on. It could solve your problem.

  5. Ok, so I started to convert photos from jpeg to .avs using the Avisynth tab. I did a dozen or more, (for some reason it does"nt let you do more than 1 at a time.) Now the audio does'nt work on those slides.

This was supposed to be a user friendly program!!!

    Any more Ideas???

  6. Today I did a test with about 30 pictures & it got through pass 2 & I was able to burn a dvd. The next thing I did was to remove the audio tracks in the batch with 200 pictures; it failed pass 2. I then (with audio removed) ran a test with all the same duration times; failed pass 2. The same message comes up ; invalid motion vector. Does this help at all??
