  1. Is there any reason to burn anything but the 5ch or 6ch off of a DVD?? If you burn either of them won't it still be in stereo if you are using a 2ch setup?? i dont understand why you would burn the 2ch if you have the option to burn the multichannel if the multichannel can be used if you are using a 2 speaker setup or a 6 speaker setup....is this correct???

  2. I usually only burn the 5.1 or 6 channel to save space. I'm always worried that if I have an extra channel it will get forced on or be the default and I won't be able to change it from the player.

You will laugh, but right now I only have 1 channel on my set up. I built a new house and only have the center speaker set up.

Thus I hear all the sounds out of one speaker. I would imagine that more speakers would get you stereo at worst.

  3. If you're concerned about audio quality, a dedicated stereo track will sound significantly better than a 5.1 DD fold-down on a stereo system. That's really the only reason to include that track.

  5. It depends on how picky you are about the stereo sound. The 5.1 will be made into a 2 channel track when it's played. Personally I wouldn't worry about the fidelity and I'd ditch the 2 channel track but some people are more picky about audio than I am.
