Double attack from Pegasys todays (June, 12)

New versions for both TMPGEnc Plus (ver: 2.513) and TMPGEnc DVD Author (ver: 1.0.10)

    According the official site:

    TMPGEnc Plus Version 2.513 (2.513.53.162) June 12 2003

Fixed: In the MPEG Setting dialogue under the GOP tab, even if the "Force picture type setting" was not enabled you could click the "setting" button.
Fixed: Reading an animation using DirectShow, could result in incorrect audio or a memory access violation error.

    TMPGEnc DVD Author Version 1.0.10 (1.0.10.36) 12 June 2003

Added: The Create menu functions include "Motion menu".
Improved: Renewed version of the "Sofdec" MPEG decoder.
Changed: A Multi_PGC_Title that some authoring software creates can also be read when reading a DVD-Video.
Added: An MPEG file can be used as background in the menu.
Added: Audio can be played in the Track preview window, the Edit clip window, and the Thumbnail picture selection window. (AC3 audio cannot be played).
Improve: Better quality when performing audio sampling rate conversion, and higher processing speed.
Added: When outputting a DVD folder it is not only possible to save it in a child folder named "Volume xxx" but also in a folder named "Volume xxx (project name)". (Selectable in Environmental settings)
Added: Now supports using DVD video recording standard (VRO) format, recorded in VR mode on a DVD-RAM recorder, etc. as input. In order to use this function, it is necessary to have a PC system that includes drive, device driver, etc. that corresponds to the object media. If the file cannot be copied in Windows, you cannot use this function. Whether or not your system will be able to read such files is determined by many different factors, and we are therefore unfortunately not able to answer any questions how to solve this. The VRO files written below are different from the DVD-Video standard and cannot be used.
*VRO files with changing video bitrate such as Advanced VRO.
*Files with other resolutions than 720x480, 704x480, 352x480, or 352x240.
*Files where the audio format has not been standardized to LinearPCM, MPEG-1 Audio Layer2, or Dolby Digital AC-3.

Changed: The project file format has been changed. Project files created in this version cannot be used in previous versions.
    Changed: Various minor things.
    Updated: Help file

Now, this is impressive!!! I shall test it the same this evening!

  2. Hi all.

Just a bit before heading off to work. For those who have not headed over to Pegasys recently, TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.5.11.37 was released on July 2.

Anyone who has avoided it due to the lack of a burn utility may want to take a look as it has now been added.

I downloaded it last night. Have not had a chance to see how the burn works.
