Came across Starmedia 1x DVD-Rs, on sale. Has anyone here tried them? If so, do they provide good results?

  2. A friend gave me one to try. It was white on top and DVDinfo identified it as a Princo. I burnt 5 episodes of the b&w Outer Limits to it. The DVD-R was about 98% full. I used Nero and burned at 1x.

I've watched 4 of the episodes so far (watching the last episode first) and it has played flawlessly on my Pioneer DV333 standalone. My burner is a Pioneer A05....

I'm thinking of picking up some more....where on-line did you find these ?

It's cheaper for me to buy DVD-R media locally than online. I saw those Starmedia discs going for under $2.00 Canadian a piece at an Asian mall. Seemed like a good price, but if they are Princos as you say, I can get those even cheaper. Thanks for the response.
