I have installed the Nero burn software on a 400 Mhz PC with 128MB of RAM, 2.1 GB HD, Win 98 and everything appears to be compatible and working correctly until I burn a CD. I used the following procedure from the Nero manual to burn a music CD-R blank.

1. Clicked start/programs/nero ahead/file/new/CD-ROM (ISO).
2. Selected start/multisession disc. Setup all tabs and clicked new.
3. Dragged and dropped a 1 minute .wav file from my HD on the "New File" in the compilation side of the ISO1 window.
4. Clicked File/Write CD.
5. I had the following events listed in the compilation window:
-caching of files completed
-speed measurement completed
-simulation started
-yamaha crw8424e-illegal medium
-yamaha crw8424e-invalid write state
-yamaha crw8424e-could not perform endtrack
-simulation failed at 2x(300kb/s)
6. I usd the Wizard and had the same results.

What would you recommend I do to correct this problem?

Thanks for your help.
