i dont know of any freeware that isnt a royal pain to use... This is exactly WHY we are sop excited to have DVD2O for Mac... It's near-perfect software.
DiscomVOBulator has a free trial and works well... Try that, but it isnt free. -
There are numerous "freeware" programs, yet they dont do it all by themselves. Yes you can rip the streams, re-encode at a lower bitrate, remux, author as dvd...... but its going to require numerous applicatoins, and introduse lots of encoding time and converting time.......Originally Posted by bonanzataz
that said, the best program is DVD2ONE. Since it does pretty much everything for you!
DiscomVOBulator(Plus the one you buy) allows you to make a DVD backup of a DVD Title track. It does *not* clone DVDs, or Re-encode them. If your DVD title is too big to fit on a single DVD-r, it will automatically be split to fit onto 2 Disks.
So essentially dvd to 1 disk dvd is DVD2ONE.
