    Ok lately I have been obtaining movies on my hard drive in [DivX] format. they are then 725mb+ and they always fail when I put them on a cd. you know how to solve this problem?

    My thoughts:
    to get a avi splitter and try removing the credits or ads in the beging. Anyone know some good avi splitters that are freeware?

    Virtualdub, there's a guide in the Edit section.

    Don't get the latest version of VirtualDub, they've changed the help file so the guide won't be there.

    You could try AVI & MPEG Splitter from download.com. You get a ten day trial....
