Hi,
I recently captured a vhs video to my computer and am up to the editing stage in virtualdub. On the vhs I had two separate videos recorded with about 10 seconds of static separating them, however i recorded the entire vhs as one file. I want to split the file so that these two videos are contained as two seperate files. How can I do this whilst removing the static in between the two videos at the same time? I am new at this and have made lots of errors thus far so a step-by-step guide would really be appreciated. I also want to keep the video in the same audio and video codecs after splitting them so no compression is necesary. I am using virtualdub 1.7.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need more info just ask.
Thanks.

Read https://www.videohelp.com/guides/how-to-cut-an-avi-file-in-smaller-parts-id357#357 , how to cut with Virtualdub. The video wont be reconverted.
