I just ripped shawshank redemption (which was like 6.13g after i pulled only the main movie file and some other stuff using dvd shrink) to my hard drive. Then i compressed the 6.13 gb file with ic7 (and the newest patch). I got a file size of like 3.2 gb.. Is the method i used causing this? i did rush hour 2 last night with the new patch and it came out to 4.37 gb, but i did not run it through dvd shrink to pull out the extras, i just ripped with decrypter and compressed with ic7. Problem is even though the beginning file for rush hour 2 was much larger, the final quality was MUCH better than the file that was run through dvd shrink. Is dvd shrink causing this or did i mess up somewhere??

I use theDVDShrink to IC method and my results, with the new patch, have been very good. No image quality problems. Still testing, though.

I could be entirely wrong, but I believe they're referring to the process of running it through DVDShrink to remove the unwanted parts and/or crop the credits and the like out of the main movie then process the resulting file through IC7 for it's, generally thought of, better processing result.Originally Posted by A4
