  1. I just ripped shawshank redemption (which was like 6.13g after i pulled only the main movie file and some other stuff using dvd shrink) to my hard drive. Then i compressed the 6.13 gb file with ic7 (and the newest patch). I got a file size of like 3.2 gb.. Is the method i used causing this? i did rush hour 2 last night with the new patch and it came out to 4.37 gb, but i did not run it through dvd shrink to pull out the extras, i just ripped with decrypter and compressed with ic7. Problem is even though the beginning file for rush hour 2 was much larger, the final quality was MUCH better than the file that was run through dvd shrink. Is dvd shrink causing this or did i mess up somewhere??

  2. I use theDVDShrink to IC method and my results, with the new patch, have been very good. No image quality problems. Still testing, though.

I could be entirely wrong, but I believe they're referring to the process of running it through DVDShrink to remove the unwanted parts and/or crop the credits and the like out of the main movie then process the resulting file through IC7 for it's, generally thought of, better processing result.

  5. Right you are, lightnin. Also, use no compression in DVDShrink.
