Every time I try to use DVD Decrypter in ISO mode with one of my
DVD-R's it will only decrypt about 80% and then I get the following error.
I/O error!

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
CDB: 28 00 00 IE B2 C0 00 01 00

This happens with all of my DVD-R's. They play fine. I use Riteks. The drive is in DMA mode. Any help would be appreciated.

The drive can't read that section of data, and errors out.
It can be a bad disc, scratch, etc. Or dirty laser eye.
You can try to hit skip, shouldn't cause a problem as long as it's only a sector or 2.
Sometimes you may be able to rip the same disc in file mode, then just burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders again.
I'd seriously be thinking about another ripper besides your burner. Lite On, and Pionner make great $40 DVD-Roms. My Pioneer 116 rips pressed DVDs at 8-11x, and DVD-R at 4-5.7x.
-----------------------------------------
By looking at the sector count you posted, it's the end of the disc, or close to it. Your ASPI may not be installed correctly, if it happens at the end of every disc. Check the file size DVD decrypter is reporting, if it constantly says every disc is burnt to full capacity, you have an ASPI problem.
Uninstall DVD Decrypter, uninstall ASPI. Reboot, then reinstall again. If your using XP, or 2000 make sure DVD Decrypter is using the SPTI interface. -

I am having the same problem.Being a complete Newbie at this I tried ripping in file mode. I am not getting any thing that says Vidio_ts or Audio_TS. Im sure Im doing it wrong have been trying different ways for 3 days now to no avail. I have cleaned the disk, I have repeaired the disk. I do not know where to go from here.
In file mode I get IFO and vob files only. Unless Im missing something. -
Had the same problem. Here what I normaly do.
1. Remove all temp files.
2. Shut the machine down, (A reboot dosn't alway work)
3. Clean the DVD and check for more scratches than normal
if no scratches try again.
At this point The only one that cant be ripped are usaly to scratched to work

I'll try to reinstall the aspi. I do want to buy a new drive to rip with. I was interested in a lite on. The AO4 rips so slow. I did rip in file mode and all of the movie rips to the drive. It is just so much easier to use the ISO mode.

to Disturbed1:
I'm sorry to bother you but I read your comment about ripping with DVD Decrypter of 15/05/2003 and I saw that you own a Pioneer DVD-116.
I have the same DVD reader with firmware 1.22 (Pioneer) but when i rip a movie (either SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter) it shows the same speed you mentioned but in reality it is going slower (a half or a third of that).
The elapsed time counter on program and even the Win98 clock go slower than normal.
The drive is master on secondary IDE with DMA enabled.
ASPI should be one of the latest.
Do you know if the hacked firmware can solve it ?
Thank in advance

When ever I run into a disk that will not rip with such errors and its a known good disk I try it in my burner and it works fine there. Yet sometimes my burner does not want to rip disk also, in those cases they work in my Liteon. Strange but I'm ont the only person who has run into this kind of thing.
