I'm hopping someone can help me clear some problems up I'm having with DVD Decrypter (final).

I have some Region 2 DVDs. I watch them on my PC. I don't currently have a DVD player that will play them. I downloaded DVD Decrypter so I could make backup on DVD-R DL DVDs so I could watch them in my DVD player.

Okay, I tried one this morning. I didn't get any errors while reading it. While writing to a DVD-R DL I got the following errors:

    W 13:05:10 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Write Error
    W 13:05:10 Retrying (1 of 20)...
    I 13:05:36 Writing LeadIn...
    I 13:05:37 Writing Image...

Okay that's the only error that came up while trying to write to DVD, and it seemed to fix after it tried again because this came up later:

    I 13:53:00 Operation Successfully Completed! - Duration: 00:50:30

But, I have it set to verify the DVDs after it's through writing and I got this:

    I 13:53:27 Verifying Sectors...
    E 14:06:23 Failed to read Sector 1837509 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error
E 14:06:23 Failed to Verify Sectors!
    E 14:06:23 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:12:55
    I 14:06:23 Average Verify Rate: 4,741 KB/s (3.4x) - Maximum Verify Rate: 10,618 KB/s (7.7x)

I tried the DVD in my player and it works, but is there something I can do to stop these errors from popping up?

DVDDecrypter is too old to handle newer copy protections(though it is still very useful for other things).
    Use DVDFabDecrypter instead.

No, The DL disc I have now are Sony. I wasn't sure which brand to buy so I went with the name I had heard of before, LOL.

ImgBurn I did try, and it gave me more problems than I'm having now. On the DVDs it did read and writen to DVD turned out crappy. The picture would break into millions of tiny squares.

I also tried DVDCloner. It worked on single layered DVDs, but the DL DVDs I tried with it came out "empty".

I tried DVDFab Platinum as well last week. I got one movie cloned to DL disc... but now it keeps saying I have no media in my tray when it goes to clone.

Dual Layer is a pain in the butt...period. I think you are finding that out the hard(and expensive) way.

    1.Don't use -R DL,use +R DL.
2.Use the MDS file as the source,it contains the layer break info.
3.Don't use Verify,a true measure if the disc is good is if it works in your player.

Actually, they are +R DL. I just noticed I made that mistake in my original post. I might pick up some Verbatim disc and see how much luck I have with them.

I've got a 10 pack of Verbatims right here and I recall failures with them...and the pack is not yet empty.
Building a D/L project from scratch(without a factory pressed Hollywood DVD to use as a guide...the layer break) is a pain in the butt.
It is less of a pain in the butt now with the latest versions of ImgBurn though.
