Exact lenght of an AVI file (hh:mm:ss:mmm)

I need to know exactly how many hh:mms:mmm an avi file that I got has. (for splitting a .sub file, the first file works fine, but the second one is about half a second out of sync, wich is very anoying ). I´ve tried gspot, microdvd, wmp9, wmpclassic, bsplayer but none of these shows the mmm info. Help please. Thanks

The best way that I know is to use Virtualdub, load the avi and then look at file information. Unfortunately, for syncing it isn't accurate enough to just read the file time. To get a real accurate measure you must take the total number of frames given and divide by the frame rate in FPS. This will give total seconds which can be converted to give hrs., min., secs.

ex. 198,000 frames / 23.976 fps = 8258.258258 secs.

8258.258258 / 60 = 137.637637 mins.

137 min. = 2 hr. 17 min.

0.637637 * 60 = 38.2582 secs.

so 2:17:38.2582
