black and white picture on sony DVP-NS305multiR

hi all, seen as though this is my first post i thought id introduce myself,im called martin thresh,i live in england/york, i love my P.C and i love online gaming....mainly MOH:AA(of which i play for a clan [DR] )> enough of that anyway..........

right my problem is that i have a sony DVP-NS305 dvd player/multi region,all my films(SVCD'S,images and mpeg formats) seem to be playing in black and white, i have tried fiddling with the settings on the DVD player but to no availability does anything work, pls could someone help me get colour so i can watch my films on my big screen instead of on my 21Inc moniter........it really sucks at the moment..........pls pls pls..........jim can u fix it 8).

help would be much appreciated.

Where did you get the DVD player and where did you get the disks? I am wondering if one is PAL, and the other is NTSC.

be sure you're not using one of the audio rca cables for the video...

i bought the dvd player in leeds/england from currys, i am copying the images myself,that i get! they work fine on my mates player(its not the same player though)the disks are bought from argos,york england, imation disks they are 700mb CD-R......................
