It keeps going out of sync at a certain part in the video. I reencode it from m2v to mpg to burn and its happened twice and this is a really long file. I dont know what the problem is. It plays fine as the m2v but when the mpgs is reencoded in the same part it's always out of sync can someone help me ?

are you multiplexing the sound back with the new MPG you've created in TMPG using the MPEG tools?
If so, check you've got the video frame rate set up right
If you're encoding the sound from say a WAV file using TMPG then make sure the sound is fully decompressed to PCM
