Hi,
I have Family guy on DVD and want to back them up. Trouble is each disc is 7.08 gb and needs heavy compression. I want to use DVDShrink as ive had good results with it before. But in the help file on this site, it says not to go below "5" in compression. It needs to be about 8 to fit properly.
Help
John

Don't do the unthinkable, split it to 2 disks. The alternative is to re-encode it to 1/2 DV. Spend the extra $1 and have a perfect backup, instead of an overcompressed copy.
To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -
mrspangle,
Gazorgan is right. I needed to back up the Simpsons episodes and each DVD was 7 Gig and above. So, what I did was to look at the number of episodes per disc. For instance, the Simpsons had 6 episodes per disc. So, to make my life easier, I put 3 episodes per disc and I used DVDshrimk to split them (the easy way). The quality is outstanding!!It's not that I don't understand, it's just that I don't care!!!
