  1. Hi all,
Still new to this. I have successfully burned and watched a dvd with this software once using this same method. Now I cant get audio playback on the movie after a burn.
I encoded my avi with tmpgenc. The result is a working mpeg file of 2.0g
I extracted the audio from the avi file into wav with a working file of 1.2g

In MF2 I load mpeg video. I replace audio with the wav file and get video and sound playback when previewing.
I leave project settings with "do not convert box" checked and uncheck 1st clip as 1st play and add my chapters, slideshow, menu...etc.

The resulting file size at bottom is at 3.2g. No matter what quality of settings I choose in mpeg settings the file size remains at 3.2g( I remember this used to change based on good or fair quality) Now the dvd project file size changes when I UNCHECK the "do not convert box" and after burning the project with mf2 I get sound for my menus and chapters but no sound for the actual movie. I have been puzzled for a long time. Please help.

  2. It appears I resolved the problem.
I noticed that the wav file I used on another project was saved with 48khz and 16bit sound. The wav file I extracted for my current project was at 44khz. I re extracted the audio in virtualdub with 48khz and 16bit conversion and the file is only about 100megs larger but now Moviefactory will burn the audio and playback on a dvd player.
