I'm sure this is a stupid question, but it's got me stumped.
I've got a new Panasonic EX85, with the digital receiver. My TV is about 5 years old, also a Panasonic, analog tube old-school thing. No digital tuner.
So I understand I can't watch DIGITAL tv through the DVR, but shouldn't I still be able to watch analogue TV through the actual TV, while I'm recording the digital signal?
When I run the auto-tune thingy on the TV, it's all just grey fuzz...
I could certainly do this on my old (not digital) DVD player, and it's going to be a bit of a pain if I can't on my fancy expensive new one...

Why did you run the "auto tune thingy"? The analogue broadcast channels should be in exactly the same place they were before the EX85 was connected.
You have connected the RF out from the EX85 to the RF input on your TV?
