  1. Hi,
First of all, sorry; because i know that this question must be asked 100 times before but i am too lazy to go through them all, i want a tool that can burn a DVD9 to two single layer DVD-R without any re-encoding.
I just downloaded trial version of clonedvd and i think it can't do the job.
    Thanks for any help

  2. Gte DVDshrink, use the reauthor mode, select the amount you want on disc 1 with the start/stop tool, extract and burn. Repeat for disc 2.

Note : This is for movie only, aka no menu.

Yes, CloneDVD can split to 2 discs. From the online manual (found here: http://www.elby.ch/products/clone_dvd/manual/usage.html Remember, Elby is the program developer, Slysoft just distributes it.

Splitting: If you want to copy the whole DVD or you want to copy a movie with extra length, it is advisable to split it over two DVD media. First of all you have to select “preserve menus” for keeping the overview. Via the “chapter cutting” function you can split the main movie in two parts while selecting for example the chapters 1-9 for the first DVD media. Select now further titles like “Special Features” and start the copying process for the first DVD media. When the copying process has finished, please click on the “Back” button until you reach the window with the title selection. Please click with the right mouse button into the title selection dialogue: You can invert your selection for the first DVD media, like in this example, it means that the chapters 10-16 of the main movie and the rest of the titles will be automatically selected

I just posted this in another thread and came across yours. If you're looking for a way to do it using free tools... BTW, I never used CloneDVD before

I've found this guide to be extremely helpful. Exactly what I wanted. You keep the original quality and menus. http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/guides/VobBlanker/splitdvd9/index.php
I've found that doing the 'optional' part he mentions is quite important. Also, some DVDs require a bit more work with Vobblanker than the guide shows if you want the second disk to come out just right...Not a problem once you try a few.

BTW, I ripped the DVDs first using DVDFabDecrypter or DVDDecrypter in File mode.

Hope it helps you as much as it helped me.

P.S. I found that guide in this post, https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1464354&highlight=#1464354
