  2. I didn't get all of that, but once you have the DVD9s on the hard drive, if you use PGCDemux on them, you'll get each episode with the M2V, AC3 audio, Celltimes.txt (with the chapters), and a SUP file for each language in each episode. Then you can reauthor any way you like.

I have no idea why you want to join them, as it's not at all necessary. They're not joined on the original DVD (usually, some anime episodes are).

    On original , it's joined

That's why i have to ask how to cut/join it

there is 30 min for 1 episode

Original DVD#1 after i use PGCDemux, i have 1 *.m2v with 90 min length and *.sup with 90 min length (episode 1 combine with episode 2,3)

Original DVD#2 after i use PGCDemux, i have 1 *.m2v with 90 min length and *.sup with 90 min length (episode 4 combine with episode 5,6)

so i want to rebuild DVD to

New DVD#1 with 60 min .m2v and .sup (episode 1 combine with episode 2)

New DVD#2 with 60 min .m2v and .sup (episode 3 combine with episode 4)

New DVD#3 with 60 min .m2v and .sup (episode 5 combine with episode 6)

    Thanks for your reply, manono

You can split and join subtitle files with Subtitle Workshop.
"Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan
song, idiot son of donkey kong - Julian Cope"

  5. Safesurfer, does Subtitle Workshop support SUP format subtitles? Mine doesn't seem to, but maybe it's old. Hiddengibbon is trying to avoid converting to a different format. I'm not sure he can avoid it, though.

Hiddengibbon, I understand what you're trying to do now, and what the problem is, but I don't think I can help. I have one anime DVD that's like yours. I was able to split it by decrypting the correct number of chapters for each episode when using DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode, but I couldn't get the subtitles for it in SUP format. It gave them to me in something called SUB format (seems to be SUB without the IDX), and I don't know what to do with that. Maybe someone else does. I don't see any way to solve your problem other than converting the subs to a format you can edit. Even DVDSubEdit doesn't seem to have the ability (yet?) to split subs. I'll see if I can get some expert help for you.

  6. The episodes can be selected in the long VTS using chapters. You can do the job with DVD Shrink or DVDFab (commercial).
With DVD Shrink in reauthor mode you can split the original at any chapter you want, but the menu is gone.
With DVDFab you can split at some chapters point, but will retain the menu. I sugest to use DVDFab Platinum, which have more options than other versions.

    manono,
    DVDSubEdit can "almost" do it!!!
What I mean is this: if you load a VOB file (NOT a sup file), you can select subpictures by VCID in the selection. When you save as a sup, it will only save the selected subpics. For example, if you selected VCID 1/1, you'll only get the subpics from that cell.
Unfortunately, you can't select several cells at the same time (in other words, 1/1 1/2 and 1/3 for example), so if your episodes are in several cells the best you can do is save 1 sup per cell, which might not be that great because then you would have to merge them (and their PTSs are reset at the beginning of each sup file IIRC)...

MenuShrink a free tool to shrink menus into stills with or without audio!
DVDSubEdit: a free tool to modify your subtitles directly inside the vob.
