    Hi guys!

Haven’t posted on here for a while – posted on the capturing forum a lot!

I have a question with Adobe Encore 2.0.

I just bought it, and I took one virtual tutorial and have read two text tutorials, however, I’m having an ongoing problem that I just can’t kick!!

Every time I try to insert a Timeline (Ctrl-T) I keep getting the following error message:

    jennyerrormsg.jpg

If, for some reason, you can't access the link, here's the text of the error:

    Could not import file FILE-NAME.avi.
Video files for this project must have a resolution of 720x480, 720x486, or 704c480.

At this point, all I want to do is start creating your most basic menu template for a DVD.
I’ve searched google ‘till the sun went down, but no luck!!!

Any help would be appreciated, I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong!

    Thanks for reading.

What is the resolution of the video?? Are you creating an NTSC or PAL disc??

    Separate issue.
You can start off by going to Menu>Create New menu..
You can also go to the Library pallete, and drag in a new menu..
Furthermore, you can edit that same menu within Photoshop..

    Good luck!!!

Open up the problem .AVI in VirtualDub. Go to File>File Information, and tell us the frame size..

    Where to start...

1)320x240 frame size isn't DVD standards..
2)Neither is the 20 FPS (Frames per second).

Obviously, this is some sort of flash card mode from the camera...
Even if you could resize and create for DVD size, the image would be degraded..Sorry..
