Hi every one i am new here this is my first pos so go easy on me lol.
I have nero 7 which i just got so i can create dvds myself easily with nice menus with audio.
Anyway this isnt the problem i am currently trying to burn some episodes of a tv show to disc but when played on the computer the sync is fine but when i put it onto Dvd the lip sync becomes out of sync from about a minute in and progrssively gets worse. I have tried one of the solutions suggested which is to use Virtual dub an seperate audio from video then silence hte video and merge when burning so to speak. But this did not solve.
The videos are in avi. formmat and are approx 349mb in size. Please cna somebody help me with this problem.

Okay so here is the info for the AVI files they are all mostly the same as the image. As i said the source file is fine the lip sync problem does not occur until conversion to burn to dvd using nero7 i have also tried convertxtodvd with no success. Also thanks to baldric for pointin me in the right direction.

gonna try both of those methods now
thanks will post up on wot happens -
Your source is 23.976 fps, what means NTSC film. You are in a PAL zone, and, anyways 23.976 is not standard supported for DVD video.
This is what I do in the same situation.
VirtualDubMod, disable audio and save video with no sound, converting fps to 25.000, as i.e. videoonly.avi.
VirtualDubMod again, extract audio as wav then change the framerate to 25.000 with Besweet.
Next, follow as allways.

fanx norma j im gonna try that right now but will this file be able to burn straight to dvd because i am not very gd at this sort of stuff but the source is fine onli after i convert it all goes wrong

I'm afraid not.
I do not use all-in-one apps, so that's how I'll proceed:
Load the video with no audio in Tmpgenc, add the wav audio as source and process to DVD video. You will get an mpeg2 that afterwards you must author with i.e. TDA. It's not that difficult as you may think, and much better, IMHO.

Framerate conversión is not the easiest conversion you can deal with, but can be done, though.
On the left hand of the page, under the HOW TO title, choose CONVERT, then go to this type of conversion. There are several good tutorials.
This one works fine for me:

I'll probably get blasted for saying this, considering all the negative talk on these boards about it, but you can try using WinAVI Video Converter. Lots of people have problems with it, but I don't know why. I've converted lots of tv show episodes to dvd format with little to no problems at all. I use it to convert divx/xvid files to VOBs, then author it with TDA. Neither of those programs are free, though, so that's up to you if you want to try them. I think they have trials.

you might want to try this (new beta version of convertxtodvd 2.0.8 not publically released as still going under tests) . You can manually adjust audio
http://download.vso-software.fr/vsoConvertXtoDVD2_setup_208.exe
Add file to project
Expand segment, "source details", select the stream to offset and click once or hit F2 key, there adjust . More feature are coming here, but one step at a time. Might be a good idea to let vso if this does not fix your problem that way they continue fixing this version, but normally it resolves quite a few audio sync issues.
