Critical Windows Security Bug with Animated Cursor

This is a bug that has been around since Win9x days. Apparently MS had fixed it in XP's SP1, but they broke it again in SP2.

But not to the same extent - IE7 on Vista is "protected".

Perhaps. But, on Vista at least, IE7 offers the most defense against attacks compared to other browsers.

Microsoft will issue a fix tomorrow (Tuesday April 3), according to:

(This is extraordinary in the true sense - ordinarily, such a fix which be available during the scheduled monthly updates. In this case, it will be earlier.)
