Corrupted WMV Files - Header is missing critical data

Pretty new to this. Recently restored some .wmv files from my hard-drive, and they came out corrupted. When attempting to... un-corrupt them, I was given the above error (Header is missing critical data).

Any clue how I might go about fixing this problem?

What do you use? Try open in asfbin, output as a new wmv.

Both of them say the exact same thing. ASF signature not found, or ASF header not found.

You could try if wmv muxer from http://www.dvbportal.de/ or ffmpeg/ffmplay/mplayer can handle the file,...
