  1. I'm having trouble merging movies that have been broken up into 3 part AVI files. I want them to be one big continuous file. Merging 2 parts is always fine, but adding the third always seems to cause sync problems. I ususally use VDub-MP3-Freeze. Can anyone recommend a surefire solution?

Try avidemux, load avi, append, append, under video and audio choose copy, save a new avi.

  3. I assume you are using "append segment" to join the three files and save as one large one.

How about joining just the first two, then saving. Load that file up and add the final part, see if that solves the sync problem.

Sync problems can happen when the original files have not been cut on a key frame.
