Hi.
I've managed to download the virtualdubmod program and can only seem to extract it using 7Zip.
Which file do I open in order to run the program?

Wow, you have the patience of a puppy. Double click on VirtualDub.exe in the folder you extracted to.

Hi-it's worked but something really odd has happened.Everytime I try to save the .avi(which was normally 3 GB),it saves it and runs out of memory because I find out that its been converted so far in 53 GB of data.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON?!!!!

If you don't specify a codec to save with, VD defaults to RGB, which will give you huge files. Just select a appropriate codec.

Relax and take a deep breath. You are saving your files as uncompressed AVI. That takes a HUGE amount of space. Select a codec under Video - Compression to compress your resulting file.
