.MOD sound problem?

hi all, total newbie here, I am trying to convert some .mod files from my video camera to MOV or AVI or anything usuable by imovie. problem is, when i convert, the audio is not there. what am i messing up? any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they are .mod files from a JVC camcorder, just rename the .mod extension to .mpg and that should work. That may not solve your audio problem, though. You might take a look at this link: http://domster83.wordpress.com/2007/06/28/howto-import-jvc-mod-camcorder-files-into-im...nother-format/

BTW, if you have Mac specific questions, you would likely get more answers in our Mac forum. A Mod can move your thread. Posting the same question in multiple forums is a violation of our rules.
