    Hello I have been using the corel videostudio 11 and it works beautifully, then an update came out which is videostudio x2, so i continue to use it like i would the pervious version, then after i finish my first video project, and playit back and everything is fine, except for now the original file has no sound along with all my videos with the .MOD format cause thats how my JVC HDD Cam records, so i have lost sound on about 120 videos that i have never even put in the video editing software. So i deleted the program off my computer along with all the files that i edited with it, and still no sound on anything, has this ever happened to anyone else, cause im in need of some major help cause i just deleting my entire harddrive on my camera, so now all i have is these files with no sound, at all so please some advice ill take anything. with no e files with no sound

  2. try playing the mod files with vlc, it doesn't require any other codecs. the audio isn't gone from the file, just not associated with any codec to play it back.

    ok thanks, but i tried it and the VLC player doesnt have audio nor video, just the time meter at the bottom of the playerime

  4. change the .mod to .mpg they should play in anything.

    ok i changed the file extension, from .mod to .mpg and it worked, but i wonder why it did this all of the sudden probably a flaw with updated program.
