  1. Hey Guys !!
i have been trying many media players around the internet
but didnt find any single media player rather than "Kmplayer/Potplayer" which allows to pause the media and minimize it while pressing ESC Key...

is there any guide to do this in any media player of linux ?

  2. SMPlayer.
    Options/Preferences/Keyboard and mouse.
The escape key is already assigned ("exit fullscreen", I think) so you'll need to delete or change that assignment or neither will work.

Under Preferences/General, check "pause when minimized".
Under the Options menu, check "show icon in system tray".

After doing the above, the escape key minimizes the player to the system tray and pauses playback.
I couldn't get it to work using the escape key without the "show icon in system tray" option enabled, but I'm using the xfce desktop with a panel with a system tray. I'm not sure if it'd work otherwise. Without the "show icon in system tray" option enabled, playback will still pause when minimizing the player.
