  1. There is no official Season 2 DVD for TV show 9-1-1. I'm attempting to create one for my sister. I have a few of the Season 2 episodes to make DVDs of them for her. Several TV channels I receive cycle through rebroadcasting each season. I just recorded S03 E11 which was supposed to be the "Seize the Day" episode.

It is totally mislabeled and is actually S02 E09 "Hen Begins". My actual "Hen Begins" episode, starts over 9 minutes in, due to some preempting.

Is there a way to edit the metadata for a WTV file so I can fix the major items like WM/SubTitle and WM/SubTitleDescription?

    Thanks,
    Mark

  2. You can use clever FFmpeg-GUI.
Load your wtv file, click multiplex.
Here you can change the language and title tags for every stream.
Then set the container (mkv / mp4) and click multiplex. Done.

  3. Thank you. It's definitely a very versatile program which I will be using for a few other tasks.

I also found two easy ways to change certain metadata fields. Windows 7 File Explorer shows some of the metadata displayed at the bottom of the File Explorer window, along with a thumbnail. Much to my surprise it allows me to change some of the fields and then save it back to the WTV file.

It includes "Program Description" which is the WTV metadata field WM/SubTitleDescription and "Episode Name" which is WM/SubTitle. It also shows the title field.

Another way is via the Details tab of the Properties window. It allows me to change some of the metadata fields. I had tried previously, but I must have clicked on an unchangeable field.

I did notice that the metadata changes aren't noticed by WMC. My guess is that the program index needs to be rebuilt.
