My DVD player doesn't play CD, VCD, SVCD anymore.

My DVD player doesn't play CD, VCD, SVCD anymore. When a disc is inserted, it spins for a while and then it says "NO DISC". I cleaned the head and it does the same thing, the player does not recognize the cd, vcd, svcd. Only read DVD.
What I have to do?

sounds like your player is dying. I have a norcent dp300 I bought that did the exact same thing. It plays pressed dvd's and burnt dvds just fine it just quit playing anything on cd (video or audio). I think the laser weakens after time on cheaper players (got mine for about $50 about a year ago). I don't think there is anything you can do other than buy a new one (which i still need to do).
