  1. Hi... I know this might sound stupid but i really would like to know what the different between CD-R and DVD -/+ RW disks are ??? I know dvd are for movies but they can also be used for data , Correct ?? Also if i burn onto a CD- R disk aren't they the same sizes as the DVD disks when it comes to burning data or can you load more onto a dvd disks ... Reason why i am asking whenever i try to burn onto a CD -R disk they use the same amount of space as the dvd disks do , Is this correct ??? And if this is true then basically we are paiding more for dvd disks because you can burn movies onto them ??? Thanks

CD-R capacity is 700 MB, DVD is 4.3 GB. DVD will hold 6X as much.

Indeed, you are in fact paiding more.

CDs can hold either 650, 700 or 800MB of data. DVDs can hold about 4,500MB of data.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you click the CD tab, you get the CD options. If you click the DVD tab, you get the DVD options.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  8. Another thing to consider is the quality of the disc (either CD/DVD) that you are buying. I noticed you mentioned cheaper or wanting to save money, but I learned from expirence long ago, if you skimp on the media now, you will mostlikely not be saving in the long run.

I'm sure most here will agree with me on this, as I just found this out with DVD-+R .... Durabrand (Walmart) -R sux and FujiFilm +R rox.... and it didnt cost that much more!

    Just a suggestion,
