Hi ,
I’m compressing .avi files into MPEG1 or MPEG2 files in order to make a VCD or a SVCD . I keep having problems with the settings I’m using . With TMPGenc I use the following settings , for MPEG2 :
Video – Size 480x576 , Aspect ratio 4:3 , 25 fps , 2 pass variable bit rate , Video format PAL ,
Encode mode – non interlaced
Advanced – video source – non interlaced , field order -bottom fields first ,video arrange method – full screen (keep aspect ratio)
Only with these setting I get a full screen picture on my TV , if I change the size to 432x576 (this would be 4:3) I get a picture on the TV screen which is about have the size of the 480x576 one . The picture is aligned to the upper left corner of the TV screen . If I use MPEG1 , I get never a full screen picture on the TV , regardless what setting I’m using .
Can anyone help me with this problem ?
