Even though the first three letters in your handle is "Cap", I will help you anyway (long story) . Your symptom is called video leading the audio, and it's fairly common.

First load your video into Gold Wave, select Edit=>Marker=Set. Make both the Start and Finish vales in the Time Based portion equal zero. Select OK.

Now select Edit=>Insert Silence. Enter five as the Duration of Silence value.

Save under a new file name.

The five seconds will be added to the beginning of your new audio file. Mux as usual.

Just the audio. Remember, Gold Wave is an audio editor, it will only save audio files. It will leave your video untouched.

Exactly. The size is about right for a movie.

Load the clip into virtualdubmod and then go to audio/streams/stream list and right click on the stream and choose interleaving and input 5000 in the Audio Skew Correction box,add a - if the audio is playing too late, then click ok twice and click on the play preview button on the bottom left of the menu,go to a scene and see if the sound is in sync,if not go back to the stream option and add or subtract a bit from the sum to get the exact sync you need, once you do that then save the audio in full process mode.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  9. Thinks Ill give it one more shot. What makes it so aggrivating is that 9 out of ten times tmpgenc works perfect, only this time after i get done making it into a vcd there is no sound.
