    I am trying to open this .wav audio file in goldwave but i get this error am i missing wav codecs and this file is a .wav file anyway

    WAV is a container. It can contain audio in any number of compressed (or not) formats. Use a program like GSpot to determine what codec is used. Then get that codec.

    ok here is snapshot of audio it looks as if its AC3 where do i find codecs for that

    Try AC3 ACM or AC3 Filter
