why is the audio fine when i play movie on my comp but then out of synch when i burn it to cd-r with nero?

what format are you burning to the cd-r? vcd, svcd or divx/xvid? and also, whats the source, and whats the audio format?

my dvd player only plays VCD so i burn VCD. The movie is SVCD though. What do you mean by source and audio format? how do i get that info?

1. nero encodes movie when i burn svcd as vcd
2. how do i find out if mpeg is in sync?
3. yes, movie plays in sync on my computer as svcd..but once i burn the svcd as vcd to cd-r and try to play on dvd player or my comp..it is out of sync....
by the way, i tried using tmpcodec or whatever its called and it wouldnt open..even after troubleshooting and making changes in settings....
