  1. I RECENTLY BOUGHT WINAVI AND HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED UNTIL THIS MORNING. THE PROGRAM REPEATEDLY CRASHES. I GET A WARNING "ACCESS VIOLATION AT ADDRESS 3555822D. READ OF ADDRESS 355822D." I CLICK OK. THEN I GET "APPLICATION THREW AN EXCEPTION. TERMINATE NOW?" I CLICK YES. (OTHER CHOICES ARE INEFFECTIVE.) THEN I GET "RUNTIME ERROR! R6025- PURE VIRTUAL FUNCTION CALL." THEN I CLICK OK. (IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS.)

I CAN RESTART THE PROGRAM AND CONVERT FILES BUT THE PROBLEM RECURS REPEATEDLY.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

    rwh369,

A quick Google search reveals that it could be a "Trojan Horse" on your system causing the conflict.

Check out the following on Symantec's website:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2002092316375206?Open&src=&docid=20...&osv=&osv_lvl=

    Good luck,

    Moonstomp.
Just because you're nobody, doesn't mean that you're no good. Just because there's a reason, doesn't mean it's understood. It doesn't make it all right ! (The Specials)

It also helps if you don't SHOUT. For pete's sake, turn caps-lock off.

I am not wasting time and space. It is known in the cyberworld that all caps is shouting. You are lucky jimmalenko or mak'ntraks didn't get ahold of you.

    To quote Omega Legal

    "Some Say it's Rude!
Society has changed in the last ten years. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who has not used e-mail or surfed to a web page. As such, electronic communication has developed its own etiquette. Using all caps has become the written equivalent of shouting or being aggressive (see http://www.biztechonline.com/net_ettiquette.htm). Enter a chat room or post a message in a discussion group in all caps and you will be inundated with comments like "stop shouting" and "newbie". Your use of all caps, besides being rude, could give you the appearance of being less than savvy in the technology world."

It's also hard and annoying to read. Keep in mind that many people who see an all-caps post won't bother to read to the end of it, much less stick around to offer help with your problem. Feel free to post that way if you want, but all you're doing is hurting yourself in the long run. You're better off posting with no capitals than all.

    Thanks haloblack.

You do not have to be the worlds greatest typist. But, please use common courtesy. You would get more help if you did not use all caps. It is seen as shouting and being aggressive
