    i am following this tutorial https://www.videohelp.com/srtsubsvirtual.htm . i went through it but when i add the anything.vdr to tmpgenc it pop up a message reading "illegal stream format." I did change DirectShow to priority 2 and still no go. could it be my codec? currently i have kazaalite codec installed on my comp. i tried uninstalling and install xvid codec and it didn't work. i then uninstall that and install ffdshow and it still doesn't work.
    Computer Spec:
    winxp pro, 2.4ghz, 768mb ram, 100gb

    You should try this guide with ffdshow. You don't need VirtualDub then, so it's easier.
