  1. xp does not show existing data (in data cds as well as vcd's) in my cdrw.

e.g. I have 150Megs in my cd. xp claims the capscity is
    650-150 = 500Megs and all 500 Megs are free!

So now I am forced to pull data from other machines in my network. Thank goodness, I have them?

    anybody has seen this problem?

is xp recognizing your drive as a cdrw, check under properties and see if you have a write speed tab, if you don't make sure your cdrw drive is the master on the ide port, if it is then check to make sure your drive does not have compatability problems at the windows site, xp recognized all my disks weither I crated them with cd creator or incd.

you may need to install a UDF reader.

    Adaptec and Nero have them.

I know it required me to install a UDF reader to open CR-RW
