  1. hi all, i am trying to compress footage using premiere , but when it is done
    there is something wrong like a pulse which appears every second or something, does anyone knows why this happens and how to fix it.
    i am using MPEG4 codec

  2. What Mpeg4 codec/settings are you using?

    This can happen if you have the quantizer offset between I frames and B/P frames too large. You end up getting a quality "pulse" everytime a new I frame plays.

    shown in the attached pic, i dont know about the "quantizer offset between I frames and B/P frames " , plz make it in details..

  4. I have never used "Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V3" so I can't really give you specifics, but at 3Mbits/s you shouldn't be having the problems I am talking about. Unless your video stream is Hidef or something (1080P)

    i'd try outputting to something like huffyuv and check for the pulsing. if it's gone then i would junk the microsoft codec and use xvid. with a target bitrate of 3,000kbps that should be the best quality.

    Your using an FPS of 15.

    Unless the original is 15 FPS, you'll notice a "pulse" by changing the frame rate. Keep the same output frame rate as the input frame rate.
