Let me first tell you that I'm not precisely knowledgable concerning PAL and NTSC playback compatibility, especially when concerning video playback from the computer to a TV. My current concern is if there would be any problems with playback of a video file encoded using the 29.971 FPS NTSC standard, to a television or VCR equipped for viewing PAL. The usage here is just for viewing the AVI file, not for recording it through the VCR. While to my knowledge I know that VCRs in the UK and in Europe are equipped to accept only a PAL signal, my main concern is if that's the case with TVs and if so, if this type of setup (with using a TV-out) is going to create a problem for people to playback and view files. If there is a problem with video playback, is there a solution to correct this type of problem at the user end, without having to re-encode the video file to a PAL format?
Thanks in advance,
Eldric
