  1. I have an AVI thats 702mb, need to chop 2mb off the end, so I'm trying to get rid of the credits. The problem is that when I do this using virtual dub the movie is fine until about 30 mins in, then the sound goes. I have also tried recompressing it again but when I open in WMP it just says "playing" but nothing happens. Any help help would be great.

    hi

i had the same problem. with every movie. and i had a lot of these 702-710 mb movies

i tried avichop, but avichop created a corrupted avi file, which got my explorer.exe to crash. after that, i found out, that avichop is not working under win2000. and virtualdub is also pretty bad under win2000.

thats why install win98 or Me, and try avichop or VirtualDub again. avishop worx perfectly ok that what u want.

    P.
