  1. when i try to convert the avi file, i get audio but no video...
    this doesn't happen to all files, some of them work normally

  3. i dont think its a codec problem since i can watch it...
    but it says Codec Name: DivX 5.0

    You know what, I apologize. I got a little confused about whether you were having sound or video problems. You might want to try installing FFDSHOW, which is another Divx decoder that sometimes gets along with TMPGEnc better than the native Divx filter.

  9. Tmpeg works great for me but last time I used it on a dvdd after smartripper,burn me all movie good quality ,but no audio,which by the way used dvd2avi as a frame server for audio,Any thing I did wrong this time?

    Is there sound when you play it on your PC? Are you in an NTSC area? Did you let TMPGEnc convert the audio? If so, it could be that your player doesn't like MP2 audio as it isn't valid for NTSC DVD's. You can convert your audio to AC3 or PCM (wav), or try a diferent DVD player.
