  1. DVDs are flickering on my Windows XP system. I tried with PowerDVD, Videolan, DVD Lab, DVD Shrink...

Only one software that plays without flickering is Real One player.

This problem started only few days back. Flickering is happening only when I play DVDs. Mpegs, Avis are playing fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in Advance.

The FIRST thing I would do is UNINSTALL Real One (do you REALLY need it???).

  4. But for now that is the ONLY software that is playing (showing) DVDs properly on my system.

You really don't want that player.

Generally speaking, Windows players use Direct-X to display DVD's. They de-interlace it to display it, otherwise you get lines on a computer monitor. And usually it only works on full screen.

Try updating your Direct-X install, or get new video drivers.

The programs you mentioned, some of those aren't players, so there shouldn't ever be a question of flickering there.

  6. What do you mean by 'flickering'? Are they horizontal lines or flashing like a weak TV signal (lightening and darkening)? Do they repeat in any a sequence (ie: in rhythm with the audio)?
If it works, don't fix it.

  8. Downloading the new video dirver solved the problem.
