  1. whenever i try to open a .avs file for editing in premiere pro 7.0, i get a scrambled look to the movie. The file can't be edited because i cant view it at all. if i open the movie for editing in 6.0 premiere, i have no problems. Also, keep in mind i have followed every avenue, i.e. changing preview size to 720 x 480 and interpreting footage to square pixels, but still same scrambled pic problem... also if i export the vid its scrambled... i have avisynth, i have the plugin installed... so any ideas how to make this work. I had it working before, but after formatting the hard drive, it has never worked since.... help please... i prefer working in 7.0

  2. The software plugin architecture in Premiere Pro 7.0 could be different, or the method/configuration of frameserving to and from the new Premiere is different. Are all the proper input/output avisynth plugin files (im-avisynth.prm I think) in the "\plugins" directory of Premiere?

Download the avisynth tools again from http://www.avisynth.org and http://www.videotools.net .

Unfortunately, the installer won't work correctly..This is a bloody shame, since it was possible to open a .D2V file in Premiere 6.5, and create motion menus and such, from the original .VOB files...Really impressive stuff. 8)

Does anybody know any other way of opening an .AVS into Premiere Pro??
    I haven't a clue...

  4. No guarantees because I don't have Premiere Pro ,but there is a little program out there called MakeAVIS (Google it!) that , basically ,creates a fake avi from an avs script. It has the option of uncompressing the audio which is the only way I could get it to work. You could always play with it and see if it works.
