Hi!
Problem: When I play a DVD on my PC the movie isn't smooth.
My settings:
* 6x DVD (Creative), no Dxr3 Card (only Software Decoder)
* WinDVD
* Pentium 4 1.4 GH
* 384 MB RAM
Does anyone have an idea? Would a faster DVD drive help?
have a nice day,

Windows device manager, go to the IDE channel things and go to the properties for these. Make sure use DMA if available is checked. Also if you have your CDROM drives on the same cable as your HD the speed of transfer will be limited to UDMA 33 (most hd are now UDMA 66 or 100). You HD should be on a seperate cable if at all possible.
