Removing Commentary

Sup people, i've got a wrestling tape from 1995, i've just recorded it to my pc (seperate audio file), but the problem is it has german commentary which i want rid of. Any suggestions people? i've tried things like vocal removers for songs, which dont work or just make it distorted...

without having a multi track recording, that's about the best any vocal remover can do. you can decrease frequencies where the voice is in the mix and increase others but the voices will still be there. since the speech is probably constant throughout, you can't go in and set the audio to 0 wherever there is speech.

What happens if you record the video and don't plug in the audio cable? It'll work on my setup as I capture analog signals into my computer with a Dazzle 100.
