    I'm just wondering are there any programs which can grab a still from a divx avi file? I've searched around and so far have only been able to find programs which will only do mpgs. Please tell me it's possible! Thanks ;)

    Virtualdub can do it, select an inpoint and an outpoint and save image sequence, it will save a jpeg for each frame in the sequence.

    you can also choose the save frame to clipboard option in VDub if you just want one still and paste it into an image editor.
