Hi,
I want to convert my hi8 tapes to svcd. I'm considering the wintv-pvr. Is there a sig difference in quality and efficiency between the pci and usb version?
I already have a miro dc30plus card in the system but the time with tmpgenc is to long for encoding for the mass of my tapes. Can the 2 hardwares coexist?
For a few hundred dollars, I'd rather have a quicker solution and maybe save the long process for a few select 'masterpieces'![]()
Can the quality played on my stand alone pioneer 333 dvd to TV be as good as the hi8 played thru the sony camcorder? Would a Dazzle or snazzi be better? I understand I may need to demux in tmpgenc after mpegII cap with the wintv card (or usb) but that sounds quicker and easy. Using win98se but could use win2000 if it would be sig better. (pent III 866) with 256meg ram and 30gig ultrascsi drive.
Anyway, appreciate some feedback.
Thanks,
Jack
